At Christ Fellowship Baptist Church, corporate worship is given a place of great importance. The command to sing is given to the church more than 400 times in the Bible and gathering together with the body of Christ in corporate worship is top priority in the life of a believer (Psalm 96:1-10, Ephesians 5:19).

As followers of Christ, we desire to be those who worship "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). This means that we worship the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and in accordance with the Word of God. Since our theology shapes our doxology, true worship of God is focused upon, and is in response to, the reality of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:16 informs our corporate worship services at CF. When the body of Christ comes together, there is a plurality of songs (“psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs”) which are for teaching, admonishing, and building up one another with the Word of God. Furthermore, the songs we sing are an expression of thankfulness to God for all He has done on behalf of His people. So as to be those who worship in spirit and in truth, and in order for our congregation to worship God in unity, we desire all of our songs to be Scripture-Saturated, Christ-Centered, and Congregation-Friendly.
